1.  My wife, Judy Miller, and I were instrumental in forming a local Republican Club in Fostoria, Ohio, which is highly democratic.  Over 250 members have generously donated thousands of dollars to support Republican candidates at all levels.  I am presently Chairman of this club and last year we raised over $25,000 through planned fundraisers.

2.  Personally entertained Senator Mike DeWine, Senator George Voinovich, and Marilyn Quayle.
3.  My wife and I have always had an “open door” policy for meeting with all political candidates that have approached us.  This has allowed us to talk openly with our local, state, and federal elected Republicans about issues facing small towns in Northwest Ohio.

4.  Past member of the Hancock County Central Committee.
5.  Attended several Republican National conventions at my own expense and attended the inauguration of President George Bush, again, at my own expense.

Married for 37 years to Judy R. Miller, Vice-President of the Board of Roppe Holding Company.  Judy is also on the State Central Committee.

Together, we have a daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons, ages 5 and 7.
