Environmentalist Agenda

Posted on: April 26th, 2012 by Admin

Here is a very interesting video with thoughts on the possible agenda of some radical environmental groups in the United States.  While we all have an interest in keeping our planet as clean as we can, some of the more radical environmentalists would endanger our ecomony in the process.  To view the video, click on the link below.

Senator Rob Portman Addresses Local Republicans

Posted on: March 27th, 2012 by Admin

Senator portman, Sandy Barber, Congressman Latta, Dr. Stuckey, Cliff Hite

Several Northwest Ohio Counties joined together to host Senator Rob Portman in Archbold.  Senator Portman and Congressman Bob Latta were enthusiasticlly greeted by the Republican crowd.  Senator Portman, who has been mentioned as a potential Vice Presidential candidate in 2012, spoke about the importance of this upcoming election.  He drew very strong lines of contrast between the America that we love and the America we would see if President Obama were to gain a second term.  He also encouraged local Republicans to work hard to get Josh Mandel elected as our newest Senator.  The crowd loved the Senator’s conservative views, and we hope he will be a frequent visitor.

Congressman Latta gave a rousing speech about just how important this upcoming election is.  It very well may be the most important election of our lifetime.

Our area is truley blessed to have Republican leaders like Senator Portman and Congressman Latta.  Please join us in doing everything you can to complete our Ohio team by electing Josh Mandel to the U.S. Senate and by electing a Republican President to replace the current administration.  We all want to pass a strong and prosperous America on to our children and grandchildren.  Let’s elect people who are proud of America and get our Country back on track.

A Sad Note

Posted on: March 27th, 2012 by Admin

On a very sad note, you should be aware that Brooks Schlosser, husband of Fulton County Treasurer Bev Schlosser, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2012.  He is survived by Bev and their two sons.  Please include the Schlosser family in your prayers.

Barbara Sears Speaks to Republican Club

Posted on: March 27th, 2012 by Admin

On Thursday, March 22nd. State Representative Barbara Sears addressed members of the Fulton County Republican Club.  Following the redistricting,  Ms. Sears will be the Representative for most of Fulton County, and this was another great opportunity for local Republicans to get to know her.  Representative Sears spoke about her experiences in State government and about several current pieces of legislation including many budget items.

Club members were given an opportunity to ask lots of questions, and they seem to be very happy with the representation that she will bring for her new constituents.  We are convinced that Ms. Sears will do a great job of representing our views at the State level.

Gingrich and Santorum at Lincoln Day Dinner

Posted on: March 4th, 2012 by Admin

Between 750 and 1,000 area Republicans packed the student union at B.G.S.U. for Congressman Latta’s Lincoln Day Dinner.  The very enthusiastic crowd was treated to speeches made by Presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum as well as Grover Norquist President of Americans for Tax Reform.  As if those great names were not enough we also enjoyed short talks by Congressman Latta, Senatorial candidate Josh Mandel and candidates for the Ohio Supreme Court.

The evening was a powerful reminder of the importance of this election year.  With some hard work, the Republican Party could gain control of the Senate, retain our lead in the House of Representatives and, hopefully elect a Republican President.  It will not be an easy task, but the candidates and those in attendance last night are willing to work hard to make this happen.  Everyone agreed that, for a whole host of reasons, the Country cannot afford another four years of President Obama.  With your help we can pull our Country back from the brink of disaster.

Meet the Candidates night

Posted on: February 6th, 2012 by Admin

On February 2nd,  the Fulton County Republican Party hosted a meet the candidates night to give members of our Central Committee and our Republican Club the opportunity to meet and question the candidates.  Candidates for both contested and uncontested races were given an opportunity to discuss their backgrounds and their ideas for the offices they were seeking.   Some were seeking County offices and some were running for Statewide offices.  We were pleased to have so many excellent Republican candidates in attendance.

Remember that early voting has already started in Ohio.  Get to know the candidates and the issues and then exercise your right and your obligation to vote.

WELCOME

Welcome to our updated website.  The 2012 calendar year will be a very exciting one for Republicans both nationally and locally.  Follow all the action on this website.  Keep up with all the issues and the candidates.

The year starts with the Republican caucuses and primaries.  Ohio’s primary will be in March and, as usual, Ohioans will have a lot to say about the people and the issues that will govern our future.

After months of hard work, we hope that 2012 will end with Republican victories in the races for the Presidency and the Senate.  We will do everything we can to get our Country headed back in the right direction.

Please join us.
